North Dearborn Street runs through Chicago's Gold Coast and Near North neighborhood, into the historic Lincoln Park. Some of the Windy City's most popular dining can be found on this street, whether out with a group of friends or family, or taking someone out for a romantic date. The entire stretch of North Dearborn runs from Madison Street to North Avenue.
You'll always find an open table in the inconspicuous 3rd Coast cafe. Located in the Gold Coast, 3rd Coast is an affordable alternative to some of the pricey, high-class restaurants that crowd the neighborhood. Breakfast is served all day, starting early in the morning at 8 am until late in the evening at 2 am. There is often live jazz, and the wine selection is extensive. Many diners come to the 3rd Coast alone to enjoy gourmet coffee and a book, while others make it a late-night date or hangout spot after a night out on the town. Reservations are never necessary.

Chicago is known for its deep dish pizza, but the locals' favorite is Edwardo's. With locations on South and North Dearborn Street, this restaurant is great for large parties or family dinners. The stuffed pie is highly regarded for its natural and fresh ingredients. Don't plan on eating more than two slices of this cheesy, thick pizza. If there are only two people in your party, order a small size. There are also large plates of Italian cuisine available for those who aren't in the mood for pizza. Make a reservation, especially if you plan on going to Edwardo's on a weekend, otherwise you could end up waiting over an hour for a table.
