Mississippi has become one of the top gambling destinations in the United States since passage of the Mississippi Gaming Control Act in 1990. Ameristar Casino Hotel Vicksburg is about 45 miles west of Jackson on Interstate 20. Ameristar Casinos Inc. opened the property in 1994 and renovated it 14 years later. The 70,000-square-foot casino features 1,700 slot and video-poker machines and 36 table games including blackjack, roulette, craps and other banked card games. A 10-table poker room was added in 2008. The 149-room luxury hotel, remodeled during the 2008 renovation, features 18 suites. The complex also includes a swimming pool, three restaurants, two bars, an RV park and a 1,000-space parking garage. Ameristar's Star Awards benefits program covers all eight of the company's U.S. properties.

Isle of Capri's 17,634-square-foot casino in Natchez, about 135 miles west of Hattiesburg, features more than 600 slot machines and 10 tables of blackjack, craps and three-card poker. The property includes a six-story hotel and the Calypso's Buffet dining room.

Tunica Roadhouse Casino and Hotel is one of three Harrah's Entertainment properties in Tunica Resorts, about 30 miles from Memphis, Tenn. The former Sheraton Casino and Hotel was rebranded by Harrah's in December 2009. It is one of three properties in Casino Center, along with Gold Strike Resort and Casino and Horseshoe Casino Tunica. The Roadhouse features more than 1,300 slot and video-poker machines and 36 table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and other banked card games. The hotel features 134 suites. The property is part of Harrah's Total Rewards benefits program.
