What Attractions Does Disneyland Have?

Disneyland in Anaheim, California opened in 1955. It has become the model for many theme parks around the world. Now known as Disneyland Resort, it contains two theme parks, a shopping district, and many hotels and restaurants.

  1. Rides at Disneyland Park

    • The original Disney theme park is now called Disneyland Park. It's home to iconic Disney rides, as well as some newer rides. Some offerings include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, It's a Small World, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, the Haunted Mansion, Star Tours and Indiana Jones Adventure.

    Shows at Disneyland Park

    • Live shows include "Celebrate! A Street Party," "Billy Hill and the Hillbillies," "Jedi Training Academy," "Fantasmic" and the nightly firework show "Magical."

    Rides at Disney's California Adventure

    • The second Disneyland theme park is Disney's California Adventure. It features thrill rides like Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and California Screamin'. Rides for the whole family include Mickey's Fun Wheel and Toy Story Mania.

    Shows at Disney's California Adventure

    • There are several shows at Disney's California Adventure, including "Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular," "Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage" and the nighttime "Disney's Electrical Parade" presented by Sylvania.

    Downtown Disney District

    • Entertainment options at Downtown Disney include a movie theater, ESPN Sports Zone Arena, blues or jazz music and even fireworks.
