For those who want to see a live performance, watch a baseball game or enjoy a state of the art theater, the Cashman Center is a necessary stop in Downtown Las Vegas. This center is a multiuse facility (which includes meeting space for conventions or business purposes) and contains over 483,000 square feet settled on 55 acres. It is also home of the Las Vegas 51s (the AAA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays). The schedule changes frequently, so be sure to check the listings for theatrical productions and concerts as well as baseball schedule before heading out to the center.
The Freemont Street Experience, located in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, includes 10 casinos, unique dining experiences, and a variety of evening entertainment, most of it free of charge. A highlight of the Freemont Street Experience are the free, hourly Viva Vision shows. These feature colorful, kinetic images set to music on huge LED screens that stretch over a pedestrian mall on Freemont Street.
