Kitchen Kettle Village, located in the heart of Amish country, is one of the area's best destinations. Offering homemade specialty items such as jams, jellies, syrups and salad dressings, this village is a family-owned business. Starting out just with the canning business, it has now expanded to other specialty shops and a restaurant.
Shop at one of the 39 quaint shops in the village, offering goods from household items to handmade purses, jewelry and flowers. Stopping by the Jam and Relish Kitchen for canned homemade jellies, jams, sauces and cookies is a must. The village wouldn't exist without this store as it's what started it all. The village is open Monday through Saturday. Hours vary throughout the year, depending on the season.
Stay overnight in a plush room or fancy suite with varying views of the village, including a serene farm. As of 2009, all rooms have been recently built, featuring modern conveniences and quaint decor complete with wooden furniture and handmade quilts.
Enjoy a casual lunch at the Kettle Cafe for light sandwiches, salads, soups or other snacks, or dine at the Kling House for a relaxing sit-down meal complete with Amish specialties. Indulge on wet shoofly pie, chicken and waffles, and sauces and dressings sold in the Jam and Relish Kitchen, which is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday for lunch only.
