Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) is 27 miles southwest of Durham. This airport bills itself as the "convenient alternative to Logan International Airport." Major airlines serve Manchester, including Air Canada, Continental, Delta, Southwest, United and US Airways. The airport offers hourly parking, daily parking in a parking garage and long-term parking that includes free shuttle service to the terminal. The terminal offers several places to eat, including a club for frequent-flyer guests, and two gift stores. Other services include car rental agencies, limousines, taxis and hotel shuttles at the curb outside the terminal.
Portland International Jetport (PWM) is about 50 miles north of Durham, outside Portland, Maine. The jetport's renovated and expanded terminal is scheduled to open in the fall of 2011. Airlines serving the jetport include Air Canada, AirTran, Continental, Delta, JetBlue, United, U.S. Airways and Twin Cities Air Service, an airline that shuttles between Portland, Maine, and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Short-term and long-term parking lots are located close to the terminal. The jetport offers a restaurant, gift shops, ATMs, snack bars and free Wi-Fi access throughout the terminal.
Logan airport (BOS) is 52 miles to the south of Durham. It is New England's largest airport. With four terminals, two million monthly passengers and more than 40 airlines that offer nonstop flights all over the world, it is a busy hub. Logan offers the usual big-airport services such as short- and long-term parking, restaurants, hotels, gift shops and free Wi-Fi. Other amenities include play areas, art exhibits and spas. Logan is also home to a 9/11 Memorial and a non-denominational chapel.
