Airports Near Idaho

Major airlines provide service to about 10 airports in Idaho cities including Boise, Moscow, Idaho Falls and Pocatello. In addition, dozens of smaller and private airstrips are throughout the state. For additional options when traveling to Idaho, a number of airports in other states including Montana, Washington and Wyoming are nearby.
  1. Jackson Hole Airport (JAC)

    • Found within the Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole Airport is 33 miles from Victor, Idaho, and 99 miles from Idaho Falls. Six airlines provide flights to Jackson Hole Airport, the busiest airport in Wyoming. Flights are available daily to Salt Lake City, Denver and Reno. Four rental car facilities are on-site and the airport has a restaurant and a gift shop. Overnight parking is $10 per night, as of October 2010. Wireless Internet access is available within the facility.

    Missoula International Airport (MSO)

    • Idaho is 25 miles west from the Missoula International Airport, along U.S. Highway 12. Six airlines provide passenger service into Missoula and nine car rental services provide services. Direct flights from Missoula reach a number of major metropolitan areas including Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Phoenix, San Francisco and Seattle. The facility is home to a full-service restaurant and a coffee shop. As of October 2010, parking is free for the first 15 minutes in all lots; more than 15 minutes is charged at an hourly rate. A discounted rate is available in the long-term parking lot. Credit cards are accepted for parking fees. Wireless Internet access is available.

    Spokane International Airport (GEG)

    • Nine airlines serve Spokane International Airport. Covering 4,800 acres, Spokane International is the second-largest airport in the state of Washington. Direct flights depart Spokane International for cities including Boise, Chicago, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle. Seven rental car facilities are at the airport. A number of restaurants and stores are on-site, and wireless Internet access is available. Several parking lots and garages are available at a variety of rates. The airport even provides assistance with flat tires and dead batteries at no charge. Spokane is about 25 miles from Post Falls, Idaho.

    West Yellowstone Airport (WYS)

    • Montana's West Yellowstone Airport is just 2 miles from the west entrance from Yellowstone National Park. Passenger airline services are available from June through September but the airport remains open for general aviation as weather permits, usually late October. Two airlines provide service to West Yellowstone, with direct flights to Salt Lake City. A number of car rental and taxi services are available on site. Parking is free. A café and gift shop are at the facility. West Yellowstone Airport is about 30 miles east of Island Park, Idaho.
