Located in the front of the airplane, first-class seats are often upholstered in leather and significantly larger than their counterparts in coach. Since first class passengers are seated in a smaller, more private area of the plane, the noise level will most likely be lower. In coach, the flight experience tends to be a noisier one due to the large amount of people in close quarters. In addition to the standard complimentary soft drinks, first class guests also receive complimentary wine, beer, champagne and cocktails.
Depending on the airline, size of the airplane and length of the flight, first-class seats may be equipped with a number of entertainment options. Some seats feature personal TV screens, allowing passengers to choose from a variety of movies, television programs or video games. If individual TVs are not offered, a larger screen will most likely be available for standard flights.
First-class passengers expect to receive attentive, personal service, and flight attendants assigned only to the first-class section will work to accommodate your needs. First class also has its own lavatory. In addition to the advantages during a flight, many airlines allow their first-class ticket-holders access to an exclusive airport lounge. When it is almost time to depart, first-class passengers are among the first to board.
