Information on Long-Term Parking at the Orlando Airport

Orlando International Airport offers several parking lots in and around the airport. The satellite, or long-term parking lot, is the least costly option, especially if you're considering leaving Orlando for an extended trip. Orlando also offers several payment options.

  1. Charges

    • Satellite parking at Orlando Airport is $4 for the first three hours. After that, you are obligated to pay the 24-hour fee, which is $10, and that fee is charged per day from the time of entry. There is a 10-minute grace period if you enter the lot by mistake or decide to park in another lot.

    Length of Time

    • You can park in the satellite lot in Orlando for up to 120 days. The parking area is uncovered, which means your vehicle will not be protected from the elements. However, for those who use the lot for a length of time, there is security, as the lot is patrolled by the Orlando Police Department.

    Number of Lots

    • There are three satellite lots in Orlando and are designated by colors -- blue, red and gold. The blue lot is the main lot and is located at the north entrance about a mile from the main terminal. The red and gold lots are opened when the blue lot reaches capacity; the red lot opens first. It is located one mile south of the airport terminal, and the gold lot is located 2 miles west of the blue lot.

    How to Pay

    • If you're parking in the satellite lot, you can pay a number of ways. Lot attendants accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express. If you park in the red and blue satellite lots, you can use your E-Pass or SunPass, which are passes drivers in Florida purchase to pre-pay on toll roads.

    Shuttles

    • Orlando offers a free shuttle from its satellite parking lots to the main terminal. If you're departing from Orlando, the shuttle will drop you off at the departures area at Level 3 of both the A and B terminals. If you're arriving, you can catch the shuttle in the same area. Airport officials say you should allow an extra 30 minutes to reach the terminal if you're leaving from Orlando.
