Hansung Airlines is Korea's first low-cost airline. It was designed to provide affordable travel between the resort island of Jeju and the South Korean mainland, a very popular flight to book. Follow these steps to find out how to book travel on Hansung Airlines.
Purchase a Korean-English dictionary or enlist the help of a Korean-speaking friend to help you book the ticket directly through Hansung Airlines's Web site (see Resources below).
Call Hansung Airlines at 011 (+82) 1599 9090 to attempt a telephone booking. You can also contact the airline by fax at 011 (+82) 043 210 0520 or by email at [email protected].
Book your travel plans through a travel agent to sidestep the language barrier. You'll have to pay an extra fee; but this may be unavoidable. Unfortunately, there's no easy way for English-only speakers to book travel directly with Hansung Airlines.
Choose to fly from Cheongju, Jeju or Seoul. The airline is based in Cheongju (also called Ch'ongju or Cheong Ju City), but all flights connect at Jeju (also called Cheju). Hansung Airlines mainly functions as a service to and from Jeju City.
Choose to fly To either Cheongju, Jeju or Seoul. Hansung Airlines does not have a direct flight between Cheongju and Seoul. If you want to travel from Cheongju to Seoul or vice versa, you'd be better off in a car or train. Jeju is an island and both Cheongju and Seoul are inland cities, so flight is the only direct mode of travel between them.
