The VIP Peru Lounge is open to all members of the public but you will only be allowed to enter if you have a credit card. Inside the lounge you will find a number of bars and plenty of tables and chairs. There are also TV screens and Wi-Fi connections.
According to the World Travel Guide website, the VIP Club Lounge is for first class passengers of specific airlines, who are generally flying internationally with major airlines. It is also possible to enter the lounge by invitation. The lounge has plenty of tables and chairs, a bar and Wi-Fi internet access.
The Sumaq VIP Lounge was voted "Lounge of the Year" by Priority Pass, an independent airport lounge program, in both 2009 and 2010. The lounge won the award, ahead of 600 others, for its "range of services for travelers, including outstanding business facilities for those who want to work, as well as relaxation rooms with blankets and pillows and even showers," says the Priority Pass website. More than 30,000 passengers were involved in the voting. The Sumaq VIP Lounge is only open to business and first class passengers.
Regular passengers will find plenty of other places to pass the time in Lima's Jorge Chávez International Airport. "In the International Zone you will find a café and restaurant open 24 hours a day, while a wider choice of eateries can be found on the mezzanine level," says the Airports Guides website.
Other restaurants and eating areas listed by the airport's official website include the Manacaru Restaurant, Aroma Cafe, Starbucks, Macdonald's and Dunkin' Donuts. All of these establishments are in the international terminal.
