Bentonville is home to the Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport (XNA), which Allegiant, American, Continental, Delta, U.S. Airways Express and United Airlines use as a hub. Most flights from this location serve the Midwest -- Allegiant Air the only airline that travels as far west as Los Angeles in 2010. This airport is located in the northwest corner of the state and is accessible by Highways 12 and 71.

Fort Smith Regional Airport (FSM) offers just two major airlines (American and Delta) and smaller planes for regional travel. It handles shorter flights to larger airports, where passengers will connect for the next leg of their trip. The airport is just off of Interstate 40 in Fort Smith.

Texarkana Regional Airport (TXK), which is on the Arkansas side of the Texas/Arkansas border, is only served by American Eagle Airlines. It is also used for helicopter flights and has an aviation school. The commercial flight schedule is designed as a low-cost convenience for travelers in the area. The airport is off of Highway 245 in Texarkana.
