How to Get Around Boston Logan International Airport

Getting around inside airports can be a hassle, but the Internet has made it easier to plan your trip. Now you can check beforehand on the airport's web site to find your terminal. Boston's Logan Airport has 4 passenger terminals--A, B, C and E. Each terminal has its own facilities including ticketing, baggage claim and ground transportation.

Instructions

    • 1

Start your airport search with Massport, a comprehensive and helpful site that offers maps of terminals, locations of restaurants and hotels and security advice (see Resources below). To find the specific airlines, restaurants, shops, banking, public Internet and other services available in each terminal, click on the letter identifying the terminal.

    • 2

Locate the terminal you need. Terminal A houses Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection, Comair and Delta Shuttle. Terminal B is where you can find Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz, Alaska Airlines, America West, American, American Eagle, Spirit Airlines, US Airways, US Airways Express and US Airways Shuttle.

    • 3

Go to Terminal C for Air Tran Airways, Cape Air, Continental, JetBlue, Midwest, United and United Express.

    • 4

Head for Terminal E for international flights on airlines including Aer Lingus, Air France, Alitalia, American (international arrivals only), British Airways, charters, Finnair, flyGlovespan, Iberia, Icelandair, JetBlue Airways, KLM, Lufthansa, Northwest, SATA, Swiss and Virgin Atlantic.

    • 5

Get from one terminal to another, in the event you are changing planes, by taking the free shuttle buses that connect all terminals. There is also a new moving walkway which connects Terminal A, the garage and Terminal E.

    • 6

Check your plane ticket or itinerary before you land if you are on a flight arriving at Logan and need to change planes. Listen for any announcements from the cabin crew before landing in case there has been a change in the landing terminal. Once you are inside the terminal, look at the arrival/departure board to double check the terminal, gate and departure time for your connecting flight. Follow the signs to the gate. If you must go to a different terminal, follow signs to the shuttle buses.
