If fredh water flows into mono lake why is the salty?

Mono lake is a terminal lake, which means it has no outlet. As a result, all the water that flows into it evaporates, leaving behind the dissolved minerals. Over time, this has led to Mono Lake becoming very salty, with a salinity of about 100,000 parts per million (ppm), which is about 2.5 times saltier than the ocean.
