How deep are estuarys?

Estuaries can vary greatly in depth, depending on their location, morphology, and geological history. In general, estuaries are relatively shallow water bodies, with depths typically ranging from a few meters to several tens of meters. However, some estuaries, particularly those located in tectonic settings or areas with significant fluvial input, can be much deeper. For example, the Hudson River Estuary in New York, USA, reaches depths of over 100 meters, while the Gironde Estuary in France can be over 50 meters deep.
