How to Get to the Port Authority Bus Terminal

While multiple states have a port authority, when people speak of "the" Port Authority, they usually mean the one in New York City. New York's Port Authority is the gateway into the city as well as a frequent transfer point for many travel routes on the East Coast. Located in the center of Manhattan, the Port Authority is huge and old-fashioned, without many displays or signs to direct weary travelers in the right direction. To avoid getting misdirected, it's best to figure out where you need to go ahead of time.
