• Each day in January and February, 5 Star Bus Tours offers shuttle service to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Bear Mountain has a large beginner area and a several all-terrain parks for snowboarders. Snow Summit is a somewhat smaller ski resort, but offers night riding on the weekends. Both mountains are located about three hours from San Diego and the entire round trip takes about 12 hours. The cost of the trip is $25 as of 2010 and does not include ski equipment, which can be rented from the resort for $30, or a lift ticket. The minimum number of people is 40 per bus.
