The 2011 Chevrolet Impala comes in three different trims but each has basically the same size and dimensions. This Impala measures 200.4 inches in length, 72.9 inches in width and 58.7 inches in height. The car's curb weight is 3,555 lbs., with the exception of the LTZ 1LTZ trim, which weighs slightly more at 3,649. Front headroom is standard in all trims, at 39.4 inches, with available leg room of 42.3 inches. All trims are five-seaters, with four doors and 18.6 cubic feet of cargo space.
The LS 1LS and LT 1LT Impala trims come with a 3.5-liter, 214-cubic-inch V6 engine, capable of 211 horsepower. The more powerful LTZ 1LTZ trim features a 3.9-liter 237-cubic-inch V6, which can produce up to 230 horsepower. All trim levels come with a four-speed, automatic transmission system.
All three trims have the option of gas or ethanol and have 17.5-gallon fuel tanks. The maximum fuel economy for the LS 1LS and LT 1LT trims is 29 miles to the gallon; the LTZ 1LTZ manages slightly less, at 27.
Safety features, which come as standard on all trims, include six airbags, side impact bars, anti-lock brakes, Onstar crash response system and an anti-theft system. Remote vehicle start and fog lights are only standard with the LT 1LT and the LTZ 1LTZ trims.
Standard in all trims, the 2011 Impala has power steering, bucket seats, tire pressure monitoring and power windows. The LS 1LS and LT 1LT trims come with cloth covered seats as standard, with the LT having an option for leather and the LTZ 1LTZ being leather as standard. Other standard features include a CD player, defogging rear windows, cruise control and child safety locks. As of November 2010, the standard asking price for the Impala starts at $24,390.
