Grand Caribbean Cruises

A short 3-day cruise is no way to properly experience all that the Caribbean has to offer. To give visitors a chance to see as much of the Caribbean as possible, some major cruise lines offer grand Caribbean cruises that last anywhere from 10 to 14 days. These cruises venture not only to island ports, but to Caribbean countries in Central and South America as well.
  1. Princess Cruises

    • Princess Cruises offers a 14-day Grand Caribbean Adventurer cruise that travels to 10 different southern Caribbean islands. Beginning in Barbados, travelers are taken on a loop around the Caribbean Sea to countries such as Grenada, Turks & Caicos, the British Virgin Islands and St. Lucia before returning to Barbados. Only two of the 14 days are spent exclusively at sea and travelers are given ample time at each port to explore and take part in shore excursions. Princess Cruises provides shore excursion options at each port so that passengers can experience the different islands in whatever way they want.

    Royal Caribbean Cruises

    • Starting at Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New Jersey, guests of Royal Caribbean Cruises are taken on a round trip to visit the southern Caribbean islands. At each of the cruise's 7 stops (each one in a different Caribbean island) there's plenty for travelers to do with their free time. Those who simply want to relax can rent a floating beach mat for the afternoon and drift across the crystal clear Caribbean water. Tourists after a bit more adventure can rent jet skis or kayaks and explore to the gorgeous coastlines or go on guided tours of the different port towns. The ships themselves are travelling cities and offer amenities such as an ice skating rink, miniature golf course and day spas.

    Holland America Line Cruises

    • The Holland America Line offers a wide variety of Caribbean cruises that last anywhere from 10 to 35 days. The vast majority of these cruises are 14-day trips that provide passengers with a wide sample of all the Caribbean has to offer. Holland America's Caribbean cruises begin in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and visit island locations like the Bahamas, Martinique and Aruba. Each port has its own unique set of shore excursions that take place both in the water and on land. On the days the ship is at sea there's still plenty to do. Children can play in the Club HAL activity and game rooms while their parents take in a show in the Rembrandt Show Lounge. Those after a view of the sparkling Caribbean waters can do so from inside the panoramic Crow's Nest Lounge.
