One Day Rhine Cruises

The Rhine River runs from Switzerland through Germany to the Netherlands before emptying into the North Sea, making it one of the longest rivers in Europe. One-day cruises around the river allow visitors to explore the river and view major attractions, including castles, ancient buildings and city skylines. This is small cruise ship that can only hold 380 passengers, and on-board amenities include a restaurant, a salon and viewing decks.

    KD Nostalgia Route

    • This cruise sails through the Middle Rhine upon a paddle steamer, and it lasts for 11 hours. The cruise operates from April through October, and it leaves from and returns to Koblenz, Germany. The route includes views of Niederlahnstein, Boppard, St. Goar, Kaub, Oberwesel, Bacharach and Assmannshausen, and attractions include castles, the Lorelei rock and vineyards. On-board amenities include viewing decks, a restaurant, four salons and wheelchair access. Children age 3 and under travel for free. Travelers will be riding upon the Goethe, which can accommodate up to 500 passengers.

    Cruise to Loreley

    • This cruise takes travels from Loreley to St. Goar and St. Goarshausen, and it takes approximately four hours. The cruise travels through the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, which was designated a UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Site, which means that the area is protected. Attractions include castles, Lorch, Bacharach, Overwesel and Bingen. This cruise does not leave on a daily basis, and interested travelers must call ahead to book their spot and confirm departure times. Groups larger than 10 people are eligible for a discount.
