There are 11 stateroom decks on the Carnival Freedom ship. Staterooms include interior rooms, ocean view rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony staterooms, premium balcony rooms, suites with a balcony and separate seating area and penthouse suites with a balcony, separate seating area, walk-in closet and a whirlpool bath. There also are connecting staterooms, which are convenient for families or groups of friends. All passengers can choose from two twin beds, a double or king bed. All staterooms have a telephone and desk area and closet.
On the Carnival Freedom ship, there are a variety of dining options. The Freedom Ship would not be complete without the Freedom Restaurant on the Lido deck. Passengers can eat whenever they like without a dress code at the Freedom Restaurant, which serves buffet and a la carte international cuisine. Passengers also can choose more formal dining at The Posh and The Chic dining rooms. Reservations for these dining rooms are required, and a dress code is enforced. Guests also can choose the Sun King Steakhouse, which requires reservations and also enforces a dress code.There also are many bars and lounges aboard the Freedom ship.
The Carnival Freedom features a basketball court, Internet café, mini-golf, art gallery, a movie theater that has a poolside 12-foot by 22-foot screen, two swimming pools and a water slide. The spiral water slide is three decks tall. The ship also has several duty-free shops, a beauty salon, children's activity area as well as a dance club, casino and a performance theater.
The Carnival Freedom offers an extensive children's program. There are Camp Carnival programs for toddlers, juniors, intermediates and teens. Camp Carnival counselors supervise all children's activities, which include games, parties, arts, crafts, talent shows and fun food events. The programs run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on port days, and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. for days at sea.
The Carnival Freedom Ship offers six- and eight-night cruises. Rates vary depending on the destination, length of the cruise and the type of stateroom. As of September 2009, rates range from $349 for a six-night western Caribbean cruise with an interior room, to $479 for an ocean view room on the same cruise. For an eight-night eastern Caribbean cruise rates range from $764 to $929. Rates are based on double occupancy.
