Check your daily Navigator. The Navigator is a list of each day's activities, including character appearances. Each evening, you get a copy of the Navigator for the next day. Check the character listings so you can plan your schedule to allow you to meet your favorites. Always get to a character appearance a little early. Lines can quickly expand and they will be cut if they get too long. Arriving early ensures your place.
Call 7-PALS from your stateroom phone. Each day you'll hear an updated recording giving you a list of the day's character appearance.
Attend the onboard parties. Characters make appearances at these parties, although they are not usually available for autographs or individual photos. Instead, you'll get to see a performance. For example, at the Pirate Party held on both the Disney Magic and Wonder you'll see Mickey and his friends ward off a pirate invasion.
Make sure that your child attends the character-related activities in the children's clubs. The clubs are available to all potty trained children agex 3 and up on the Disney Magic and Wonder, and often they have activities that involve meeting a character.
Go to the stage shows. Most of the shows revolve around the Disney characters. On both the Disney Magic and Wonder, the show "Disney Dreams" features such characters as Peter Pan, Belle and the Beast, Cinderella, Timon and Pumbaa. "The Golden Mickeys" features Mulan, Ursula, the Hunchback, and Sleeping Beauty, among others. The Magic has "Twice Charmed," with all of the characters from Cinderella, and the Wonder has "Toy Story: The Musical." with the cast of the popular Pixar classic.
Look for characters on Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. There are numerous character appearances in the morning when guests are disembarking the ship. These appearances will be listed in the Navigator. Often the lines for characters on the island are considerably shorter than on the ship.
Attend the "'Til We Meet Again" event. This event is an informal character meeting that is typically held on the last night of the cruise. The Navigator will have exact details on time and place. Various characters come out all at once for informal photo opportunities and interactions. Not only will you see the most famous Disney characters like Mickey, but you may also spot performers from the stage shows.
