What is a multi launching roller coaster?

A multi-launch coaster is like regular rollercoaster but with one, multiple or several chain lift hills within the course so the coaster reaches multiple times a speed beyond its traditional maximum velocity. For Example- Top Thrill Dragster at cedar point reaches its fastest speed through its second launch as compared to the initial climb hill's top speed.
