A MAXX Tertiary Student ID Sticker allows the holder to purchase tertiary 10-ride tickets and seven-day Northern Ride passes at up to 40 percent off the regular price of the selected bus, ferry or train fares. Discounted travel is available on all services operated under a passenger services agreement between Auckland Transport and the service operator and commercial services where there is a concessionary fare scheme agreement between the operator and Auckland transport.
Full-time students enrolled in an accredited tertiary course at a registered institute or private training company in the Auckland region of New Zealand are eligible for the MAXX discount sticker. Permanent residents of the region, who are enrolled in an accredited tertiary program that meets the above requirements but is outside the Auckland region may also qualify. Eligibility for those students will be decided by Maxx and contact procedures can be found online.
MAXX Tertiary ID stickers are available for free at registered tertiary institutions throughout the Auckland region. The stickers are also available at more than 180 private tertiary institutions. The sticker will be issued to you by your institution and must be placed on your current student identification card. A complete list of institutions is available on the MAXX site.
Discounted travel using a MAXX student sticker is subject to conditions such as appropriate identification and eligible transportation services.
