By taking the trailer fully loaded to a certified weigh station ensures that the true weight of the trailer can be determined to match the inflation in the tires. Afterward, by using a tire data load chart, the exact pounds per square inch, or psi, can be determined. For example, by inflating the tires to 70 psi, each tire can support 2,800 pounds.
