Remove the trailer tent from the trailer hitch on the back of the vehicle it was connected to. Make sure that the trailer tent is on a level surface and that the parking break is on to prevent it from rolling while you are erecting the tent.
Place the four blocks of wood on the ground near the four corners of the trailer tent. Turn the handles on the corners to lower the four corner supports. When they get close to the ground, place the blocks under them to prevent the supports from sinking or sliding in the ground.
Open the top bed board and pull it out. The support legs will extend as you pull it from its holder. Open the bottom bed board and pull it out in the same manner, making sure the legs are extended and under the bed before you let go.
Unfold the trailer tent canvas so that it fully covers the trailer tent body. Extend the frame poles that are attached to the canvas by twisting the top portion counter-clockwise until it is at its lowest position. You do not want these poles fully extended at this time or you could damage the trailer tent.
Close the door to the trailer tent and pull the corners of the canvas until they reach the ground. Use a mallet and provided steaks to steak the corners into the ground. As you finish the final corner, the tent will pull itself upright.
Turn the support poles counter-clockwise to extend them fully. Extend each pole evenly until all slack on the canvas is gone. Do not extend the poles further or you run the risk of ripping or tearing the canvas.
