Coleman Holiday Tent 12X10 Instructions

Coleman manufactures products for camping and outdoor activities. The Holiday tent is a 12-by-10-foot dome tent to accommodate one or two people. Dome tents use shock cord poles that fold into a small size to fit in the tent carrying case. The poles are assembled quickly into a long straight pole that is flexible to form the dome-shaped top of the tent. This tent assembles quickly by only one person.

Instructions

    • 1

Unfold the tent and set it on a clean, level part of the ground with the door facing the direction you desire. The tent will be a rectangle on the ground.

    • 2

Pick up one of the two identical black main poles. Hold one hand on each side of each joint with a shock cord inside it and rotate the joint into a straight line. The shock cord will pull the two pieces together at each joint and form one long pole. Repeat this step to assemble the second black main pole.

    • 3

Insert the tip of one main pole into the tent sleeve on the right front of the tent. Push the pole through the sleeve so the tip exits at the left rear of the tent. Insert the second main pole in the sleeve from the left front of the tent and exiting the right rear of the tent. The two poles form an X on top of the tent.

    • 4

Insert the front two pole tips into the pins attached to the tent front. Walk to the rear of the tent and gradually bend the rear poles into an arch and insert them into the two rear pins.

    • 5

Place the frame clips under each pole on the poles by hooking them to the pole. There are 10 frame clips per pole.

    • 6

Pull each of the four corners of the tent out to make the tent sides and floor taut. Place a tent stake in each corner loop and hammer it into the ground with a rubber mallet.
