Lay the tent out in a flat, open area. Ensure that the area has good drainage in the event of inclement weather. Remove all sharp or protruding objects that could damage the tent.
Take out the poles and assemble them. There is a cord running through the center of each pole, so simply click the individual pieces into each other. Ensure that they are correctly inserted to prevent damage to the poles.
Feed the poles through the sleeves that run diagonally across the top of the tent. The poles should form an "X" shape.
Insert one end of the pole into the grommet at the end of the sleeve. Walk around the tent to the opposite side. Bend the pole and insert it into the grommet at the other end of the sleeve. Hold the sleeve for leverage while bending the pole. Repeat for the other pole.
Use the mallet to stake the tent to the ground. There are small loops for tent pegs all the way around the base of the tent.
Lay out the fly sheet with the outside facing down. Assemble the fly pole in the same way as you did the tent poles. Place one end of the pole into the pocket of the fly, walk around to the opposite side of the fly, bend the pole and place it into the opposite pocket.
Wrap the Velcro strips around the pole and secure them. Do this along the length of the pole.
Place the fly the right way up over the tent. The vestibules of the fly should be positioned over the tent doors.
Locate the eight Velcro straps that attach the fly to the tent base. The tent pole sleeves have cutaways that match the locations of the Velcro straps on the fly. Wrap the Velcro straps around the tent poles and secure them.
Snap each of the bottom corner buckles on the fly into their receptors on the tent corners.
Stake the corners and vestibules of the fly using the mallet.
