Use the kickstand of your Qingqi scooter to hold it in position. The rear wheel of the scooter does not have to be off the ground to inspect the street belt.
Remove the street belt cover from the side of the Qingqi scooter. The cover is held in place by eight screws. Once the screws are removed, the case should come off with gentle prying.
Inspect the belt and look for fraying, tears or looseness. The belt should have no more than 1 inch of movement up or down. If the belt looks fine, replace the cover and continue driving your Qingqi RS scooter. If the belt shows signs of wear or is broken, replace the belt.
Remove the side belt cover of your scooter if you have not done so already. The cover is held in place with eight screws. Set the cover to the side of your workspace.
Wiggle the street belt off the gear of the rear wheel. The belt should have enough up and down movement to slide off the gear if you apply enough force. Once you've removed it from the rear wheel, slide the belt off the front clutch assembly.
Install the new belt by sliding it over the clutch assembly, then fitting it around the rear wheel gear. Sliding the new belt around the rear gear may take significant force, but is possible using only a human hand.
Bolt the belt cover into position before starting the scooter. Start the scooter and let it warm up before riding on the new belt.
