Determine if you will be hooking up to electricity at the camping site or if you will be using a generator to provide power. If using a generator, you will need fuel and a possible supply of oil, depending on your type of generator.
Besides food supplies, fresh, clean water is required for hydration and for cooking purposes. Pack a water purifier and a back-up supply of bottled water. You might not end up camping where purified water is available, and bottled water can be very expensive. Replenish your water supply as needed.
Carry a GPS system for navigation as well as maps for the areas you will travel through and to. It might be helpful to highlight the roads and streets that you plan to use, with a marker. Although the GPS system aids in navigation, it may not recognize some newer streets or side roads.
Kitchen supplies such as pots, pans, canned goods, can opener, groceries, broom, dustpan, outdoor barbecue with utensils and propane and dishes are necessary supplies. Also pack rags, cleansers, detergents for cleaning dishes and tables, plastic bags for waste and wet bathing suits and a portable clothes line for drying clothing on sunny days.
Pack toilet supplies such as toilet paper, soap, shampoo and bath towels. If you have an indoor toilet, carry a supply of water and chemicals just for bathroom use. Flip flops are useful if using the campsite bathrooms.
Include spare tires, a tool kit with hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, nuts, bolts, jumper cables, extra electrical cords and an emergency road kit.
