Repacking bearings is simply pulling the bearings off each wheel, inspecting for any damage from wear and greasing the assembly for proper mobility within each bearing.
For those vehicles that ride out a few times a year, a service schedule of once a year would suffice. If a RV is used much more, as in a high mileage vehicle, it should be inspected multiple times a year.
In addition to keeping the bearings serviced and free from moisture damage from storage, repacking the bearings also allows a view of the brake system on each wheel. Since a RV carries a heavy load, brake safety is of extreme importance. By inspecting both the bearings and the brakes on each wheel together, assures the driver of the safety of his RV.
