If you plan on spending a lot of time exploring Victoria, the Westbay Marine Village RV Park is an option. The park is on the western shore of Victoria Harbour and is the closest to Victoria's trendy downtown. Hop on one of the green-and-yellow Victoria Harbour ferries, and within minutes you can be at the Parliament Building or the Royal British Columbia Museum, or having high tea at the Empress Hotel.
The park offers 57 sites, all gravel-paved and all back-in with full hook-ups. The spaces are 45 feet long, which may be a squeeze for larger Class A's. The spaces are wide enough for slide-outs. The 30-amp electrical service will work for most RVs, but in the larger rigs it may limit how many items you have going at the same time. Cable TV and wireless Internet access are available at each site.
This is a combination RV park and marina, and it has a boat ramp for launching small craft. Resort services include showers, restrooms, laundry, restaurant, cocktail lounge, fish-cleaning area and a library. Pets are welcome.

Beachcomber RV Park in Central Saanich, on the shores of the Georgia Strait, is perfect for those who want to commune with nature. This is RV camping on the beach, "boondocking" style. That means no hook-ups, but what you get in return are miles of beach to explore, a chance to see orcas from your RV site, and a place to just unwind.
The park offers 62 spaces, all back-in, all with ocean-front views, fire pits and picnic tables. Dimensions of the sites vary, but some can accommodate Class-A rigs with their towed vehicles disconnected. Sites are large enough to accommodate slide-outs. There is a convenience store on site and additional grocery outlets in nearby Sidney and Saanichton, including gas stations that sell propane. The park has a dump station. Cell phone and wireless Internet coverage varies in the park, but if you have your own satellite Internet connection, you should get a signal. Well-behaved pets are welcome.
