RV Parks near Saanich, Victoria, BC

The municipality of Saanich is a district within the city of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, at the southern end of Vancouver Island. Located north-northeast of downtown Victoria, Saanich occupies a large portion of the Saanich peninsula and is only a short distance south of the Swartz Bay terminal, where ferries from the mainland unload passengers and cars. RVers visiting the area will find a handful of campgrounds in or near Saanich.

The campground provides stunning views of the mainland, including the northern Cascade Mountains of Washington state. The park is secluded yet convenient to the sights and activities of the Victoria area. Most campsites offer water views. Apart from the beautiful natural setting and its location close to central Victoria, the park has limited amenities but is a perfect choice for those who enjoy nature, peace and quiet.

    Fort Victoria RV Park & Campground

    • Located in Victoria, six miles from central Saanich, this 300-site campground offers full hookups, including cable TV, at all sites and can provide telephone hookups for RVers who plan longer stays at the park. Paved roads provide access to all campsites, each of which measures 55 feet long and 30 feet wide. A limited number of pull-through sites are available, as are a number of nicely shaded campsites. Other park amenities include a clubhouse, self-laundry facilities, showers, restrooms, wireless Internet access, and outdoor games and activities. The park is equipped to accommodate RVs of any size and encourages extended stays.

    Oceanside RV Resort

    • This 181-site RV park is a drive of about 15 minutes from the Swartz Bay ferry terminal and 30 minutes from downtown Victoria’s inner harbor. Full hookups, including cable TV, are available at all sites, each of which also features its own picnic table. The park can accommodate rigs of all sizes and posts daily, weekly, monthly and long-term rates. Campground amenities include a cookhouse with kitchen and barbecue grill, self-laundry facilities, playground, wireless Internet access, showers, bathrooms and a small convenience store.

    Westbay Marine Village

    • Located on the western rim of Victoria’s outer harbor, this complex of residential dwellings, RV campground and marina is about six miles from Saanich. The RV park has 61 full-hookup (including cable TV) sites and is open year-round. There are no posted limits on length of stay or RV size. Westbay’s amenities include bathrooms, showers, boat launch area, laundry facilities and Internet access.
