RV Parks near Helen, GA

Helen is a town of less than 500 residents located in White County, Georgia. A former logging town, Helen has reinvented itself as a Bavarian alpine town nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Helen has so completely changed into a replica of a German town that all buildings must, by city law, reflect this architecture, even franchises. Recreational vehicle campers can find several RV parks in the Helen area, where they can see the town and take part in Oktoberfest, go on hot air balloon rides and hike in Unicoi State Park.

Unicoi also has a 53-acre lake, swimming beach, playgrounds, restaurant and seven picnic shelters. The state park is located only two miles from Helen, and is also close to the Appalachian Trail, Smithgall Woods Conservation Park, the Dahlonega Gold Museum and Georgia Wineries. The park also holds regular events such as the Saturday Evening Concert Series, the Festival of Trees and Outdoor Adventure Day.
