RV Resorts in St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine, located on Florida's northeast coast between Jacksonville and Daytona Beach, is a popular vacation destination for families, snow birds and history buffs. Not far from the Sunshine State's border with Georgia yet within easy driving distance of numerous Florida attractions, the country's oldest city has a little something for everybody. RVers who plan to vacation in the area will find several well-equipped RV resorts in and around St. Augustine.

    • This oceanfront RV park is located in Flagler Beach, about 25 miles south of St. Augustine and roughly 30 miles north of Daytona Beach. With 1,500 feet of beachfront property, the 154-site resort offers camping spaces just steps from the waters of the Atlantic. Full hookups are available at all but four of the resort's sites; those four have water and electric only. The resort is able to accommodate big rigs and encourages extended stays. Amenities include free wireless Internet access, a camp store, laundry facilities and a meeting room.

    North Beach Camp Resort

    • This 134-site campground, located on a barrier island less than five miles from downtown St. Augustine, provides full hookups at most of its camp spaces but has a few sites for tent campers as well. Amenities include a playground, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, a basketball court, game room, laundry facilities, camp store, TV lounge, restrooms and showers. There are no specified limits on RV size or length of stay.

    Ocean Grove RV Resort

    • Only minutes from the history-filled streets of old St. Augustine, this 198-site RV park is located beside the Intracoastal Waterway in St. Augustine Beach. The resort's new owners began to offer sites for long-term lease in 2007, so the site you rent may belong to another RVer who has put it into the resort's rental program while he is away. All sites have full hookups; cable TV and Internet access are also available. Other amenities include two pools, a jacuzzi, convenience store, picnic pavilion, volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, laundry facilities and gated entry. There are no specified limits on RV size or length of stay.

    St. Augustine Beach KOA

    • Part of the nationwide KOA chain, this 119-site campground is located on Anastasia Island about five or six miles from downtown St. Augustine. Full hookups are available at 84 of its sites; the remaining 35 offer water/electric only. Other amenities at the campground, which can handle RVs of all sizes, include a game room, laundry facilites, playground, fishing lake, swimming pool, picnic areas and free wireless Internet access.

    Stagecoach RV Park

    • This family-owned campground is located just off Interstate 95---the main north-south route along the east coast of Florida. Full hookups are available at all of its 80 sites, many of which are shaded. The park, which has no specified limits on RV size or length of stay, offers free wireless Internet access, a camp store, horseshoe pits, showers and restrooms.
