Drain your fresh water tank and hot water heater. You can speed up the process by opening the water taps in the RV.
Dump the black and gray water holding tanks. Flush them well. Leave the gray water valve open.
Bypass the hot water heater with a water heater bypass kit. Or, you can join the two water lines that come into the hot water heater with a temporary bypass kit. You don't have to put antifreeze in the hot water tank.
Blow out the water line in your RV with a compressed air adaptor. Ask someone to help you with this. One by one, open each tap and let the air and water through. Don't forget the shower and toilet as well.
Insert the end of antifreeze winterize tubing into the gallon jug of RV antifreeze. Or, you can use the intake hose. Start the fresh water pump. Beginning with the farthest tap from the pump, open each tap until it runs red. Shut the faucet once the water changes color. Again, don't forget the shower and toilet. Close the gray water valve. Pour some antifreeze down each drain and toilet.
Remove all batteries. Put them somewhere where they can't freeze during the winter months.
Take all foodstuffs from the RV. Spray for insects. Make sure you block all the small holes. Put out rodent killer.
