Instructions

    • 1

Park your RV on a solid surface such as concrete and not on grass, in fields or wooded areas. This reduces the chance that creatures living in the grassy spots enter your vehicle.

    • 2

Stuff fabric softener dryer sheets inside drawers and cabinets to deter mice.

    • 3

Check the underside of the RV for any holes through which critters can gain access. Once it is dark outside, open and light up all interior closets and cabinets. Then check for places where light seeps through to the outside.

    • 4

Fill any holes with silicone or expanding foam. Keep in mind that expanding foam often spreads quite far, so use it sparingly.

    • 5

Stack wood or supplies, which can attract pests, far away from the RV and not next to it.

    • 6

Sprinkle a small amount of kitchen cleanser containing bleach near the tires and leveling jacks, which helps repel ants.

    • 7

Clean the RV frequently to prevent unwelcome visitors. Take out the garbage often, scrub all surfaces and keep food tightly sealed in bags or containers to keep out the pests.

    • 8

Turn off all appliances, and cover their vents with tape to prevent pests from climbing inside when you are storing the RV.
