How to Buy a Cassa Turboprop

So you've completed your pilot's licensing and are looking to purchase your own small aircraft. A Cassa Turboprop aircraft line is small enough for personal use and is handy for landing on those smaller airstrips. Here is how to buy a Cassa turboprop aircraft.

Instructions

Define your needs. If you'll be doing humanitarian aid drops in underdeveloped regions, you need a different seating and cargo configuration than if you are flying passengers on personal flight tours. Determine what you will be using the turboprop aircraft for and define specific needs from that.

Look at the models available. The CN235 series is a regional airline aircraft that can convert from holding passengers to freight and is primarily used in the military. The C212 series is used mainly for getting to underdeveloped regions but can comfortably seat up to 26 passengers and has both civil and military models. Look for the C212-200, C212-300 and the C212-400 brought out at the 1997 air show in Paris.

Contact an aerospace acquisition contractor such as CIT Aerospace. They can help you set a budget, setup financing terms and even help you select the proper model turboprop aircraft that is right for your personal or business needs.

    • 4

Check over the model you are considering carefully. If you are able, do a test flight. This will give you the best feel for what you are getting for your money.

Select a storage facility. Be sure the local airstrip has space in their hanger for rent, unless you have enough property to store your Cassa at home.
