How to Connect My Airplane Camera Audio to the Intercom

A small aircraft uses special plugs to connect the intercom---more often referred to as the radios. The headset portion of the radios plug directly into these connections. The intercom-radio system has hot-connection abilities that allow for external recording or talking devices to plug directly into the radio. Adding a camera with audio lets you record your flight or the conversations in the cockpit.

Plug the two connector pins from the radio adapter into any of the aircraft radio plug connectors. Be sure you are using a fixed wing adapter and not a helicopter adapter. Look at the pins and see that there are two different sizes indicating it is a fixed wing adapter.
