Isambard Kingdom Brunel and Railway Stations

Isambard Kingdom Brunel engineered the Great Western Railway and its iconic bridges, tunnels, and viaducts—but he did not design or build the railway stations along the line. Station architecture was commissioned to other engineers and architects (e.g., Paddington's train shed by Brunel's associate Matthew Digby Wyatt). Brunel's genius lay in civil engineering infrastructure, not station buildings.
