Amtrak Baggage Claim at New York Penn Station

Penn Station has two Amtrak baggage claim areas:

Area 1 – Main Concourse Level

• Near 8th Avenue entrance / Moynihan Train Hall connection.
• Serves most Northeast Regional, Acela, Keystone, Empire Service, and long-distance trains (Lake Shore Limited, Cardinal, Crescent).
• Multiple carousels; Lost & Found office adjacent.

Area 2 – Lower Level (Concourse B)

• Below main concourse, accessible via escalators/elevators near Tracks 1–4.
• Primarily for Adirondack (NYC–Montreal) and Maple Leaf (NYC–Toronto) trains.
• Carousels and Lost & Found.

Hours & Tips

• Open 24/7.
• Bags typically appear 10–20 min after train arrival.
• Red-cap porters available (tip expected).
• If missing, file report at Lost & Found immediately.
• Moynihan Train Hall (new) has separate baggage handling for some trains.
