Amtrak's Snow Zephyr to San Francisco Tour is a five-day, four-night tour that begins in Chicago and travels west. As your train travels west, you will see the plains and prairies covered in snow. You will see the Rocky and Sierra Nevada mountains covered in snow. The train tour ends in northern California. On this trip, you will stay two nights on-board the California Zephyr train, one night in Chicago and one night in San Francisco. Trip cost includes all meals on-board the train and hotel accommodations.
The Alaska Railroad offers various trips to different destinations. The railroad offers a tour to Denali National Park. This trip will allow you to tour Alaska from Anchorage to Denali. This particular trip is a three-day and two-night trip that departs from Anchorage, travels to Denali and then returns back to Anchorage. One complete day of this trip is a bus tour of Denali National Park, with an afternoon free to do what you wish, such as rafting or helicopter sight-seeing.
