Rail Travel to Heathrow

Heathrow is London's most popular airport. The large, international airport covers miles, but is more accessible than any other airport in London. For most people flying to Europe from the United States, Heathrow is a common stop on non-direct flights. For those leaving and entering the city, coach, taxis and trains are the most common way to come and go from Heathrow Airport.
  1. Tube

    • Heathrow is the beginning and end of the Piccadilly Line on the London Underground. Terminals 1,2, 3, 4 and 5 take you to different parts of the airport. The tube arrives at Heathrow every five minutes at peak times and nine during off-peak times.

    Railair

    • Railair is a National Rail train service operating from Feltham, Reading, Watford Junction and Woking to Heathrow Airport. Ticket prices vary on departure time and terminals.

    Heathrow Express

    • The Heathrow Express is a non-stop train service that travels between Heathrow and Paddington station. Trains depart every 15 minutes between 5 a.m. and 11:50 p.m. daily. As of 2009, tickets are 16.50 pounds one-way or 32 pounds round trip.

    Heathrow Connect

    • The Heathrow Connect moves from Paddington Station to Heathrow in 25 minutes. The train can also be picked up at Ealing Broadway, West Ealing, Hanwell, Heathrow Central and Southall Hayes. As of 2009, tickets are 6.90 pounds one-way or 13.80 roundtrip.
