For the fastest trip to Granada, utilize the Alfa trains in Portugal and Renfe trains in Spain.
Decide on your class of seats. Since this is a multi-leg journey, consider second class for the shorter jaunts and first-class for the longer legs. First-class tickets will allow you to reserve a sleeper car or couchette.

Be aware that there are no direct lines from Lisbon to Granada, but travel is still relatively simple. Book a ticket from Lisbon to a Spanish border town such as Irun, then travel to Madrid. From there, Granada is a 5 1/2-hour journey.
