When booking tickets online, be aware of fees charged by third-party brokers.
Compare rail passes before you book a single-ride ticket. If you plan to travel in countries other than Great Britain and Belgium or if you plan to make you way around either country by train, a pass will save you money and time.
Expect to pay about $70 to $100 for lowest class, non-refundable fare. Fares fluctuate depending on the time of day during which you wish to travel.
Book your seat in advance for the Eurostar between Belgium and Great Britain. Trains in Great Britain and Belgium do not require you to reserve a seat before boarding. See the Resources section below for a link to Eurostar. You can also book train travel from Belgium to Great Britain by calling Rail Europe at (888) 382-RAIL or by visiting the link below.
Consider a hotel and rail package if you'll need a hotel when you arrive in Great Britain.
Leave your dog at home. While most trains in Europe are quite pet-friendly, the Eurostar from Brussels to London does not allow any pets on board.
Forget bringing that extra outfit. You have a limit of three carry-on bags aboard the Eurostar to Great Britain. All luggage must be labeled with your name and seat number clearly showing when bags are stowed.
Check your luggage the day before. If you need to register larger items, it takes about 24 hours for them to arrive at your destinations. Register them before you travel so they'll be in Great Britain when you arrive.
Plan to arrive in Brussels early. Eurostar requires you to check in at least 30 minutes before you board. That time is reduced if you booked higher-class service.
Return your rental car at the station. If you've been cruising around Belgium in a rental, drop it off at the Brussels South Station, so you'll just have a short walk to your train.
Check in by simply inserting your ticket in the turn-style. It will keep it longer than you feel it needed, but that is normal.
