How to Find Train Times For Singapore Rapid Transit

Singapore Rapid Transit (SMRT, named for the corporation that runs it) provides rapid transit between destinations throughout Singapore. Since construction began in 1983, the system has expanded to include 3 rail lines with fairly comprehensive service throughout the city-state of Singapore. Having been occupied by the British throughout the 19th century and by the Japanese during WWII, the Singapore of today is a parliamentary Republic, independent of the surrounding Malaysian federation of states. Follow these steps to start planning your trip.
