If, however, you plan to use a train service repeatedly and need to use it to get to work or important meetings, it will be essential that you know the train schedule. The Metra rail network covers 239 stations with 11 different lines, in and around Chicago. There are a couple of ways that you can find out the train schedule for your Metra train.

Go to the Metra "Maps and Schedules" page on the Metra train's website.

Click the line that you want on the left. Enter your station information and the schedule request you want, and click "View My Schedule."

Visit a Metra train station if you want a physical copy of the schedule. You will be able to find printed hard copies of the schedule map. This may be more useful if you want to keep a copy in your coat or briefcase.
