Visit the UPS Freight tracking website (see "Resources"). Click the appropriate bullet from the three tracking method options for each shipment. Your option depends on the shipment documentation available to you.
Track with your PRO number, which is the most commonly used option. The PRO number is the 9-digit number assigned by UPS to track the progress of freight shipments.
Track with your bill of lading number. Also issued by the carrier, the bill of lading confirms that a freight shipment has been received by UPS for delivery. This number can be up to 15 digits in length.
Track with your purchase order number. This number is found on the purchase order document issued by the seller. The purchase order includes information about the types of products purchased or services that have been rendered and the cost and quantity of such transactions.
Call UPS. If you do not have Internet access, you can track your shipment by calling to speak to a customer service representative or to use the automated voice system. You will need the PRO and bill of lading numbers for these options.
