How to Track a UPS Passport

After you've completed a passport application, the United States government allows you to track the status of it. But it will take a minimum of five to seven days before you can find out any information. If you know that your application has been approved and it is now being sent to you via UPS, you can track it by InfoNotice number, reference, phone or email.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to ups.com/tracking/tracking.html. Click on "Track by Number" on the left side of the page and click "Track." Enter the InfoNotice Number from the receipt given to you when you paid for shipment of the passport.

Click on "Track by Reference" at ups.com/tracking/tracking.html. Click on "Package" and enter the Shipment Reference -- the identifier you filled in within the reference field of the shipping application. You'll also be asked to enter the date you completed the UPS shipping application, your country and your ZIP code. Click on "Track."

Track your passport via email by sending an email to [email protected]. Enter the InfoNotice number from your UPS shipping receipt in the subject line of the email or in the body of the message. UPS will send you an email with the tracking information.

Call UPS Customer Service at 800-PICK-UPS. When prompted, say "Tracking" and then say your InfoNotice number. If you don't know your InfoNotice number, wait for further instructions. You will then be able to speak to a customer service representative who can check the status of your passport package.
