The Palace of Fontainebleau, also known as the Château de Fontainebleau, is a former royal palace and an architectural masterpiece in the town of Fontainebleau, about 55 kilometers (34 miles) southeast of the center of Paris, France. It is situated on 130 hectares (320 acres) of parks and gardens. The palace is one of the largest in France and comprises more than 1,500 rooms.
